Use of Preposition 'By'

'πŸ’ ' By'

πŸ‘‰The preposition ‘by’ can be used when we talk about how we got to a place.

'I go to the city by train.'

'I travelled to the mall by car.'

The exception is if you are walking - then you can say on foot.

'She travelled the entire way on foot.'

Note that in everyday speech we rarely use phrases like 'by car' or 'on foot'.

Instead we would say:

'I drove to the mall.'

'I ride to the city on my bike.'
